Race Across Duluth
Welcome to Race Across Duluth! We are excited to showcase some of the mountain bike trails Duluth has to offer in this epic point-to-point race on the iconic Duluth Traverse. Come experience an unforgettable day on 45 miles of urban singletrack in the heart of Duluth. All proceeds will be donated to COGGS to use to create more trails and uplift the biking community in Duluth.
IMBA Foundations
Foundations: two-day intensive workshops during which IMBA staff and local experts and stakeholders lead participants through the process for a model community trail system: planning, design, building, activation, promotion and measuring success. Attendees also get a firsthand look at components of an intentional and diverse mountain bike trails community through field visits.

Trail Head and Bike Playground Open House
The City of Duluth’s Parks and Recreation division invites the public to an interactive open house event to share conceptual plans for two trailheads and a proposed bike playground Piedmont Trails and Lester Park.
The Lester Park and Piedmont Hutchinson Trailheads Interactive Open House will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:00 PM in Duluth City Hall, Conference Room 330, located at 411 W First Street. This open house will be a “drop-in” style event where you can wander through to learn more about the project, see conceptual plans for the two trailheads and the proposed bike playground at Lester Park, and provide feedback on the plans. Stakeholder input is imperative to these projects. For those who cannot join the open house event but would like to share input, feedback can be given via the online survey by visiting surveymonkey.com/r/DT-Trailheads-and-BikePlayground. The survey will close on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The feedback gathered from the survey and open house will inform development of designs.

Membership Meeting and Group Ride
Spring kick-off ride and member meeting at Pine Valley
Join us Thursday, May 8th at 6:00 PM for our quarterly membership meeting. You'll have a chance to talk to the board about upcoming projects, meet other COGGS members, and get out for a ride on the Pine Valley Trails! COGGS recently entered into an agreement with the City of Cloquet to support maintenance and development efforts at Pine Valley. Brats and Hamburgers provided!

DT Trail Maintenance Day
Join us Saturday, April 26, for our first official trail maintenance day of the season!
We will focus on repairing the tread and addressing some persistent wet areas on the Duluth Traverse, between Hwy 53 and Enger Golf Course. All tools and instructions provided. No experience necessary! Meet at 9:00 am on Skyline Pkwy.

Hartley Candle Light Ski, Bike and Snowshoe
Hartley’s annual Candlelight Event returns on January 25th, 2025 from 5-8 PM. Back and better than ever, you’ll have multiple ways to experience the wonder of a winter evening in Hartley Park this year. Luminaries will light the night sky as you Ski or snowshoe a candlelit loop. Explore the trails by headlamp on a fat tire bike or kicksled, or go for a trail running adventure on a pair of Hoka demo shoes. Warm up with hot cocoa in the nature center and you have the makings of a wonderful winter night.
