Race Across Duluth
Welcome to Race Across Duluth! We are excited to showcase some of the mountain bike trails Duluth has to offer in this epic point-to-point race on the iconic Duluth Traverse. Come experience an unforgettable day on 45 miles of urban singletrack in the heart of Duluth. All proceeds will be donated to COGGS to use to create more trails and uplift the biking community in Duluth.
What: Point-to-point mountain bike race on the iconic Duluth Traverse trail.
When: September 6th, 2025. Event start time - 9:00 am.
Where: The race will begin at Lester Park on the east end of Duluth and finish at Chambers Grove Park on the far west end of Duluth. Post race celebration to occur at Chambers Grove. After party at Ursa Minor Brewery.
Why: To experience an amazing day on the trails and raise money to support COGGS!

2026 Continental Bike Swap
For the past 18 years, Continental Ski & Bike has been helping the community of Duluth stay healthy and active by hosting and facilitating a yearly community driven bike swap. We have grown the swap from re-homing dozens of bikes the first year to last year turning over more than 500 bicycles to new homes and raising almost $12,000 for local charity in the process. The swap not only helps local bicycles find new loving homes, but it also helps to keep them out of landfills, supports healthy living, makes people smile and supports our local charity the Duluth DEVO Bike Program.

Observation Hill Work Day
Join us for the first weekend trail work on the Duluth Traverse! We will be working on the Observation Hill segment, addressing wet spots, rebuilding b-lines and getting the trail ready for spring!
Meet at the Twin Ponds Parking Lot at 9:00 am! All tools and instruction will be provided.

Gitchee Gumee Gallivant
Join us for the annual Gitchee Gumee Gallivant! This party pace ride starts at the Chambers Grove trailhead and follows the Duluth Traverse Trail across the city to Lester Park! The ride is 45 miles of mostly single track, with a stop for lunch along the way. Free and open to all COGGS Members!
IMBA Foundations
Foundations: two-day intensive workshops during which IMBA staff and local experts and stakeholders lead participants through the process for a model community trail system: planning, design, building, activation, promotion and measuring success. Attendees also get a firsthand look at components of an intentional and diverse mountain bike trails community through field visits.

We’ve made the tough decision to cancel this year’s Rock Splitter due to low registration numbers. While we’re disappointed to miss the fun this year, we’re already gearing up for 2026—with more community support, more riders, and the same great trails you love.
