Volunteer of the Month: Kim Craven
2020 has been an interesting year to say the least, but one thing has stayed true, our volunteers are incredible. They work hard to maintain a world class trail system and they need to be recognized for all they do. With this in mind COGGS would like to recognize one volunteer a month whose involvement is critical to the COGGS trail system.
These volunteers are recognized as the people who fix terrible bridges, weed whip in summer and groom in winter, build fun features, carry hundreds of pounds of rock deep into the woods, and they are the ones who show up week after week and year after year. We will highlight their efforts and shower them with swag from our sponsors.
This month's volunteer is Kim Craven. He is a part of the Piedmont trail crew. He was nominated because “He hasn't missed a Thursday of trail work in 6 years. He stores, maintains and repairs Thursday Crew's tools.”
Kim says his favorite trail is Merritt in Piedmont because of its length, but if he is feeling like he needs an adrenaline rush he enjoys BOB because it's the “Scariest, most thrill for the buck.”
Kim loves being a COGGS volunteer because “You meet lots of people and make new friends when you work on the trails.”
THANK YOU KIM! We appreciate all that you do!
