COGGS MTB News & Events

November 2019

Share the Vision

Fellow COGGS members and MTB enthusiasts!

Last weekend the COGGS Board met over at the Thirsty Pagan for our annual Strategic Planning Session. A full Saturday of conversations about the future of our organization may not sound like fun to everyone, but pizza and beer help. Our Board spent this time thinking about what COGGS is all about, and where we are headed, where we want to go, and how we can get there.

In short, we talked about how to continue to deliver on our mission, to develop and maintain world-class mountain biking opportunities for all in the Twin Ports. It was inspiring. This is a hard working group of volunteers! And Duluth is a wonderful place to work on access to the outdoors.

We have some very exciting ideas and partnerships for 2020. There are going to be some really cool developments. Stay tuned!

It's your time: get involved

If you want to help mold the mountain bike community in the Twin Ports, reach out to volunteer for COGGS. We can always use help, as a board member, at an event, or at your local trail system. We’d love to have your help!

Log your 2019 volunteer hours

In the meantime, please log your volunteer hours for 2019. This has a HUGE impact on our metrics and funding for the year ahead. We need to show just how busy we were, and one way to do that is through volunteer hours. Also - you can win prizes at our annual member meeting. ;-)

Lastly, join COGGS. Memberships help support us and define our community. Plus, you get some awesome deals.

See you on the trails!

FRESH. NEW. MERCHANDISE!

COGGS was established in 1994. That makes us 25 years old in 2019. That, friends, is older than some of our current board members. To celebrate we have some commemorative, and super cool, limited merchandise available through our friends at Duluth Screen Printing.

This is a limited time opportunity. Store closes on 11/27. We want to have it all delivered before the holidays. See the pop-up store for details.
