City of Duluth to provide $60,000 to Spirit Mountain trails
COGGS
Wednesday, April 17, 2013
Mayor Don Ness has appropriated $60,000 for further development of bike trails at Spirit Mountain for the 2013 season. 2-3 more trails should be constructed to add to last year's construction that resulted in Candyland and Smorgasbord.
Mayor Ness has challenged COGGS and the Twin Ports bike community to come up with $25,000 to match the City of Duluth's generous offer. COGGS has appropriated $5,000 for this project and, along with our tireless IMBA Regional Director Hansi Johnson, we are hoping to attract donors to help meet this match goal.
If you would like to contribute to this effort, click on the "Donate" tab on the COGGS homepage and there is a PayPal link which will allow you to enter your donation.
Thank you Mayor Ness!
